She’s here. Most of you who are friends with my husband on facebook have known for the last 10 days.
For the rest of you:
Sloane Cadét (pronounced Cah-day)* arrived at 9:19am on Wednesday, November 30th weighing in at 7lbs. 14oz and 20 3/4″ long (my biggest baby….but we won’t tell her that).
All is right in the world. She’s beautiful and perfect.
And she only wakes up once in the night to eat.
Did I mention she’s beautiful and perfect?
We are so blessed, she is oh so loved by her three biggest protectors, and she already has Daddy wrapped around her finger.
Oh yeah. And she has delicious cheeks.
*Cadét is Josh’s french grandmother’s maiden name. She has tons of stories about growing up in France during the war and I’ve always thought it was a beautiful name. I looked up the literal meaning of cadet in french and it actually means “youngest child”. How cool is that! (And yes, Sloane will always be our youngest child……our family is complete).

I love love love love love her! And all of you. I can’t believe you have a GIRL! Can I come visit at Christmas?!
Erica-you’d better!
yay! wakes ONCE a NIGHT to EAT?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!! well, you’ve earned that since you’re on your fourth little one, but DANG! that’s awesome. *ahem* lilah…taking notes?!
loved seeing you 6 the other day. you seemed so at peace and so content. this couldn’t me me happier.
I LOVE this post. LOVE it. She’s a beauty. To see a daddy love his daughter is such a beautiful thing as well – different from boys, and then to see the way your boys learn to love a girl – such an amazing experience! I am SO happy for you – I think Emily A, you, and I need to get together someday with our 3 boys, 1 girl families! Love you guys! Enjoy your Christmas!
Oh my little Sloaners. I want to snubble your cheeks all day long.
[...] labor-I couldn’t get my sink clean enough. And you know what? That was the first thing Sloane complimented me on when we brought her home from the hospital. Totally worth [...]
