UNO

November 8, 2010

We’ve been sick around here.  Gross, snotty, hacking sick.  I’m going on week 5.  The boys are going on week 2 and Josh started not feeling good yesterday.  It’s always awful when everyone’s sick at the same time.  We didn’t go anywhere.  Heck, we almost didn’t even go anywhere in our own house except the family room.

So we played UNO.  The older boys have been really into this game lately (And why not?  It’s all about matching colors and numbers).  And whatever the big boys are doing, the littlest wants to do too.

Liam’s face in this picture.  He’s actually yelling “Skipped ya!”  He yells that every time he lays a card down even when the next person hasn’t really been skipped.  He doesn’t QUITE get all the rules yetBut he LOVES thinking that he’s beating you.

Watching Tate play was the weirdest thing.  He sat there, held his cards, and really looked like he knew what he was doing.  If he wasn’t 15 months old I would have thought he really had the hang of it.  And, he totally won.  Josh played his cards for him and he won.  Beginners luck or should I start signing him up for poker tours?  Maybe this kid’s gonna be how we retire.
